Margaret is a registered psychologist and has been counseling residents in Saanich, Victoria and the surrounding area since 1991. Margaret specializes in working with couples using the Imago approach to relationship issues, which includes healing relationships, increasing loving communication an enhancing emotional and sexual intimacy. She also provides premarital counseling and works with individuals, families, teens and children.
Margaret’s therapeutic approaches interactive, and solution focused, providing feedback and support to help children in resolving relationship issues. She uses a variety of methodologies, tailoring her therapy to meet the individual needs of her clients. Margaret’s compassionate yet analytical approach helps clients attain the professional growth and change that they are capable of accomplishing.
Margaret has attended numerous workshops on Imago Therapy and has extensive training in Behavioural Therapy. She taught Experimental Psychology, Behavior Modification, Interpersonal Relations and Advanced Communication Skills in the Psychology Department at Camosun College for 25 years. Margaret has also worked setting up behavioural programs for emotionally and physically challenged children and adults and has taught many parenting courses. She also has extensive training in cognitive behavioural therapy period she is a member of the British Columbia Psychological Association and the College of psychologists of British Columbia.
