Margaret is a registered psychologist and has been counseling residents in Saanich, Victoria and the surrounding area since 1991. Margaret specializes in working with couples using the Imago approach to relationship issues, which includes healing relationships, increasing loving communication an enhancing emotional and sexual intimacy. She also provides premarital counseling and works with individuals, families, teens and children.

Al served with the RCMP for 25 years retiring in 1998. While serving in the RCMP he was attached to several different sections including Uniform Patrol, Drug Enforcement, Criminal Intelligence and Commercial Crime. In 1994/95 he completed a U.N. tour in the former Yugoslavia as part of the UN Civilian Police, United Nations Protective Force.

Deborah Harrison received a BA Hons from Queen’s University, and an MA and PhD from York University. She is currently Professor (retired) and Adjunct Professor of Sociology at the University of New Brunswick, a former Director of the Muriel McQueen Fergusson Centre for Family Violence Research, a former member of the Canadian Forces Advisory Council to Veterans Affairs Canada, and a member of the Inter-University Seminar on Armed Forces and Society.

Harold served with the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) with tours in West Germany and Cyprus. He was a member of the United Nations Peacekeeping Forces who were awarded the1988 Nobel Peace Prize. Since leaving the military Harold worked as a corrections officer at the Victoria Youth Custody Centre and was later appointed to Veterans Review and Appeal Board by the Governor General of Canada. He also served on the Board of the Lodge at Broadmead, a veterans and community long term care facility.

Sergeant (retired) David MacLeod CD MA Served in the Canadian Armed Forces for 27 years and was medically released in 2010. He completed multiple overseas tours, including Cyprus, Bosnia, Kosovo, SW Asia, and Afghanistan. As a team member, he assisted in the control and closure of Canadian Aerospace during the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. While serving in the PPCLI and later in the Intelligence Branch, David earned a BA in political studies (U of Manitoba) and an MA in Human Security and Peacebuilding (Royal Roads University).

Natasha Volchek

Natasha came to Canada in 2003 from Odessa, Ukraine where she graduated from Odessa State Economic University as Master in Accounting and Auditing. When Natasha came to Canada, she decided upon a new career for herself, so she enrolled and successfully graduated from the University of Victoria with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2010. Since then, Natasha continued her education and completed the Emergency Medicine course from British Columbia Institute of Technology in Vancouver as well as many other nursing related courses. She worked in the Emergency Room, the Post Anaesthetic Recovery Room as well as a community nurse and a case manager. Currently Natasha works as a Nurse Informaticist in the Clinical Improvements & Informatics in Island Health. Natasha lives in Victoria with her partner Ken, who was a Combat Engineer for 9 years and Clearance Diver for 18 years and counting.
